Only two days until my travel partner Kathy and I fly from London to Reykjavik to begin our Iceland journey. We land at 3 p.m., Monday, Aug. 29, and will pick up our campervan shortly thereafter from Sverrir Thorsteinsson of Happy Campers. Our plan is to spend just a little time in the "big city" before heading off counter clockwise on the ring road around the sparsely populated island.
So, ready, set. . . and (almost) go. . .
